Our auction house celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2018. Founded in 1958 by Pierre Koller as a small antique store, Koller Auctions is now the largest Swiss auction house and the second largest German-speaking auction house, and is one of the leading auction houses in Europe. Our offer is one of the widest in the world, both horizontally, in terms of the number of directions in which we specialize, and vertically, in terms of the price range of the objects we offer.

We offer 25 different divisions in approximately 70 individual auctions annually, each of which is handled by a dedicated team of specialists. These include: Old Master and 19th Century Paintings & Drawings, Modern & Contemporary Art, Swiss Art, Photography, Antiques, Books & Autographs, Art Deco & Art Nouveau, Design, Wine, Vintage, Jewelry, Wrist and Pocket Watches and Asian Art.

The prices of the more than 10,000 works of art and objects we auction year after year range from 1,000 Swiss francs to several million. In order to offer all these objects separately, not only by category but also by quality, and thus to reach a specifically interested public, we hold auctions of lower-priced objects in addition to the main auctions. These auctions are still known today as Koller West and will be known in the near future under the new label Koller Online.

International auctions

Our buyers have become increasingly international in recent years. Today, about 65% of the bidders for objects over 100,000 Swiss francs come from more than 50 different countries, from the USA to the European states to Russia to China.

In order to serve these buyers as closely as possible, but also to acquire works of art for our auctions from abroad, we operate representative offices in Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Milan, Russia and China. We also work with partner houses in Paris and New York.

Swiss Made

We guarantee the authenticity of the objects we auction. Accordingly, we carry out precise research on the age, authorship and origin of the objects entrusted to us. We would like to offer our clients, if desired, a full service from appraisal to transport and customs formalities, marketing to the successful sale of important objects to the complete management of collections and estates. As a family business, now in its second generation and with the third generation having already begun to gain experience, we think in terms of the customer and in terms of the long term.
