One of the oldest numismatic houses in Switzerland deals mainly with the purchase and sale of old gold, old silver, coins and numismatics (collection of coins, banknotes, medals and old shares).

**Pecunia non olet" (money does not stink) is a Latin phrase. Urine was used by the Romans as an agent for leather tanning. In Rome, for example, amphora-like latrines were set up along busy streets to collect the urine. To fill the empty coffers of the state, Emperor Vespasian levied a special latrine tax on toilets. Suetonius records that Vespasian justified the tax to his son Titus by holding money from the revenue under his nose and asking if the smell bothered him. When the latter answered in the negative, he had replied: "Atqui e lotio est " (And yet it comes from urine).

The coin as an eloquent witness of time, tells us about 2000 years of monetary history of anecdotes, tragedies, heroic deeds and victories. Rulers had themselves immortalized on coins, cities lived out their coinage sovereignty, states enforced the acceptance of their money, currencies sank into oblivion. In the last 2000 years there is no good, which conjures up so much history, art and culture in the hand of the collector at a mostly low price.
